the national stationery show is held at javits, a massive beast of a convention centre in midtown manhattan. i have no love for this building; the air is canned, there's no natural light, it's undergoing a massive renovation, a coffee can easily cost you $6 (never mind anything else you might need), and it's full of pigeons. inside.
but i had one magic and unintentional gio ponti moment with a temporary wall of stained plywood paired with the terrazo floors, and for that split second it was damn near perfect.
