i was in a favourite vintage store recently when i spotted this beauty, a christening gown embroidered with the names of countless generations of babies that presumably were christened in this special family heirloom. what a treasure!
(makes me think of belle heir and all the special treasures she finds...)

it's all been very glamorous lately, being whisked away for a weekend on the lovely gambier island.
my sunday was near perfect, and included a beautiful cup of coffee and a moment or two to pick at my needlepoint.
