One more Egypt post -
So excited to finally be able to share with you special project we have been working on for The Metropolitan Museum of Art,New York. In conjunction with their exhibition "Ancient Egypt Transformed: The Middle Kingdom" we've designed a suite of Egyptology prints only found at The Met or through their online shop. If you're in New York be sure to check out this amazing exhibit! @metmuseum #metmuseum #MiddleKingdomEgypt #banquetworkshop @themetstore
Available at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
Also, as an aside, that slug you can see on the belt buckle in the Egyptian Jewels print shown above is actually a viper hieroglyph (used as a possessive pronoun, as in Pharaoh-his). Gotta love a snake with horns.

You can see more in their online shop, and of course in person. Having seen most of the pieces that are featured in this exhibition, I can confidently say this is an inspiring and powerful show not to be missed!
We realized this morning that we are almost sold out of our 2016 calendars!
Our 2016 Calendar continues our obsession with house plants through the year. Each month focuses on a different plant with a brief description and plenty of room to write important dates and reminders.
Plants include Crown of Thorns, Pilea, Fiddle Leaf Fig, Lady Palm, Caladium, Opuntia, Philodendron, Jerusalem Cherry, Oxalis, Elephant's Ear, Pelargonium, and Croton. Trim and frame for year of botanicals on your wall.
Offset printed in Vancouver, Canada on recycled paper. Saddle stitch binding (stapled), 13 x 9.5 inches folded, hangs to 13 x 19 inches opened. Recycled content with each month printed in a single vibrant colour ranging from pale aqua and pastel neons to a deep teal and electric pink.
We've posted the last few to the online shop, but they're going fast!
So excited to share this special collaboration between ourselves and the oh-so very talented Sunja Link. I already want to wear everything she makes, so when she makes a dress out of our special hand-screened in Canada, 100% linen (scattered with palmistry Hands or Dancing Wild Men and their fig leaves), you know it's going to be awesome.
Join us tomorrow and Saturday for a glass of champagne in celebrating FIVE YEARS of making magic. Featuring select Banquet goods including new linens and an exclusive Banquet & Sunja Link collaboration. Plus 20% off Banquet, Sunja Link and Dace beauty.
Friday May 8th, 5 to 8

How thrilled are we for our friends at Eugene Choo and the launch of their new in-house collection. Beautiful linen dresses, shirts and of course this snappy number: the super chic "perfect" skirt in our own Banquet linen lip print.
I was in Los Angeles two years ago and managed to snag an invite for a Russian Orthodox Easter (Pascha)* brunch -
We drank aquavit and ate pashka and kulich with tea from a samovar, and made these quite fantastic eggs by wrapping them in bits of vintage silk ties, then tying them up in rags and boiling. I don't have any better instructions than that (once wrapped the eggs were whisked away and returned to us after their soak), but un-wrapping them all was truly magical.
*Celebrated later in the month but the tie-dye trick is worth trying this weekend!
