hi. i haven't been blogging much.

between pinterest and instagram and blogs and other assorted media consumption, sometimes i need to step back and look carefully at the cherry blossoms.

here's a hit of stuff, until i can capture all the spectacular pink outside.

pink gravel and flamingos

a few things that have caught my eye:

• the print on this dress, worn by maria schiano, favourite of diana vreeland. and a pretty amazing necklace too...
• ...and speaking of necklaces. hello flamingo! (does anyone out there know where this came from???)
• this frieze by constantino nivola. with the marble. and his sand casts here.
• one more vase. by takuro kuwata. what a glaze: like a skim of old school pink hubba bubba rolled in gravel. just lovely.

 

fall fashun

i'm going to call it:

turbans, fur collars, and sweatshirts with birds on them.

i might change my mind though.

i am loving this acid yellow, and i also love this idea. from here, via robin.
and i ESPECIALLY love it paired with this illustration of a fireball from 1764, and these fine fruits from confetti system who are still and will always be awesome and amazing.

green with envy

• i haven't worn earrings in probably 27 years. or so. but leopard jasper and diamonds? cra-zy. here.
• swiss national exhibition in 1964 from  schweizerische polierzeitung, the swiss construction foremen magazine. plus, a brutalist blog. awesome, right?
• how much do i love this brent bennet ceramic chalice (1966), available on 1st dibs via pale? and i didn't even know i needed a chalice.
• banquet needs a new warehouse/studio. and i want to paint it like this. tales of endearment via emily of dull diamond's pinterest (a favourite).
